Maganghub Tracker for National Internship Batch 3
An independent web tracker that mirrors the complete Batch 3 catalogue of the Ministry of Manpower MagangHub portal into one searchable table, then refreshes it automatically every two hours, so applicants can compare quota, applicants and study-program fit before the short application window closes.
WHY A MIRROR?
Batch 3 opened tens of thousands of internship positions at the same time. On the official portal they can only be browsed page by page, which makes comparing quota, applicant counts and study-program requirements slow during a five-day application window.
The portal lists positions across more than 1,500 pages. There is no single view to filter the whole catalogue by study program, education level and location at once.
Mirror the full catalogue into one table with search, combined filters and a chance indicator (quota divided by applicants), kept current by an automatic pipeline.
An independent mirror for Batch 3 of the National Internship Program. Listing data belongs to Kemnaker MagangHub; applications are only possible on the official portal.
PIPELINE, AUTOMATION AND FRONTEND
I built the data pipeline and the automation around it, and integrated the tracker frontend: fetching, deduplication, scheduled refresh, watchdog recovery, and the searchable interface itself.
Python fetcher that reads the portal server-rendered pages, sorted by latest, in two passes, then deduplicates positions by ID.
GitHub Actions refreshes the data every two hours. A watchdog checks every 30 minutes and re-triggers the pipeline when data grows stale.
One searchable table with study-program multi-select (300 programs), education-level chips, location filters, sorting, pagination and a dark mode.
Failed pages keep their previous records instead of dropping positions. Allowance figures are labeled estimates based on 2026 regional minimum wages.
PORTAL → FETCHER → JSON → TRACKER
The portal does not offer a public API for this catalogue, so the fetcher reads the same server-rendered pages visitors see. The result is a single data file the website loads, which keeps the tracker fast and cheap to host.
- PublishKemnaker MagangHub publishes the Batch 3 catalogue on its portal.
- FetchThe Python fetcher walks the catalogue sorted by latest, in two passes.
- DeduplicatePositions are merged by ID, so moved or re-listed entries appear once.
- StoreThe catalogue is saved as one JSON data file inside the project repository.
- RenderThe website loads the file and renders the searchable, filterable table.
- RepeatGitHub Actions repeats the whole cycle every two hours, day and night.
BUILT FOR A FIVE-DAY WINDOW
CHANCE INDICATOR
Every row shows quota divided by applicants, so oversubscribed positions are visible at a glance. Positions without applicants yet show a dash instead of a misleading number.
COMPARE UP TO 3 POSITIONS
Applicants can place up to three positions side by side and compare quota, applicants, location and allowance before deciding.
FINANCIAL CALCULATOR
A city search with 2026 minimum-wage data (UMK/UMP) and a simple cost simulation help applicants judge whether a placement location is affordable.
STUDY-PROGRAM FILTER
A multi-select filter over the 300 most common study programs, combined with education level, province, city and institution type.

WHAT I WOULD IMPROVE NEXT
The catalogue ships as one data file of about 31 MB. Splitting it into lazily loaded chunks is the next performance step.
The fetcher depends on the portal page structure. A layout change on the source site can pause updates until the fetcher is adjusted.
Allowance figures are estimates from 2026 UMK/UMP data. The official amount is decided by each host institution.
This tracker is not affiliated with Kemnaker. It helps applicants prepare; the application itself stays on the official portal.
CHECK YOUR CHANCES BEFORE APPLYING
The tracker is live and updating now, while the Batch 3 application window is open (31 October to 4 November 2026).
